How to Have a Relationship as a Cancer Survivor

Relationships and intimacy are fundamental threads in the fabric of life. A cancer diagnosis and treatment, however, can have a devastating impact, particularly for people not already in a solid relationship.

Stacy Willingham recently wrote about this challenge in the November 2018 edition of Cure Magazine.

“Just as patients in treatment struggle with whether to add a line about their diagnosis in their profile or post an older picture to mask hair loss, survivors of cancer often find it difficult to put themselves out there. They grapple with questions about when to reveal their survivorship or any longer-term side effects of their past treatment.”

Stacy recommends two apps . . .

RomanceOnly.com, developed by a cervical cancer survivor, and

CancerMatch.com, developed by MaleCare founder Darryl Mitteldorf.
