Information and action is particularly important because black women tend to have more aggressive breast cancers at younger ages and benefit from earlier detection and aggressive treatments.

The mission of the Avon Foundation for Women Breast Health Outreach Program (BHOP) is to link medically underserved women to breast health education and screening services. Hope Afloat USA’s® mission is to help survivors of breast cancer make positive emotional, spiritual, and physical changes in their lives through the ancient sport of Dragon Boat Racing. It encourages survivors, regardless of age or athletic ability, to “awaken the dragon within” by providing them with hope, support, camaraderie, and adventure.
Hope In Bloom
An organization that plants gardens free of charge at the homes of women and men undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Healing gardens have been proven to be therapeutic sanctuaries offering both comfort and hope to meet the emotional and psychological needs of patients and their families.
Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research Foundation
The IBC Research Foundation is dedicated to researching the cause of Inflammatory Breast Cancer, IBC, an advanced and accelerated form of breast cancer usually not detected by mammograms or ultrasounds. Inflammatory breast cancer requires immediate aggressive treatment with chemotherapy prior to surgery and is treated differently than more common types of breast cancer.
Keep A Breast
The mission of Keep A Breast is to help eradicate breast cancer by exposing young people to methods of prevention, early detection and support. Through art events, educational programs and fundraising efforts, it seeks to increase breast cancer awareness among young people so they are better equipped to make choices and develop habits that will benefit their long-term health and well-being.

By pairing those who share similar life experiences as well as diagnoses, Sharsheret provides support and resources for young Jewish women fighting breast cancer. For more than 28 years, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure® has been a global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research and community-based outreach programs. The Susan G. My MBC & Me
My MBC & Me is a mobile iOS app that empowers people living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) to better manage their treatment and communication with their care team. It provides disease and treatment information and tracks appointments, medication, treatment history, side effects, and symptoms. A questionnaire helps users outline their priorities and goals to refine treatment choices and their information processing and communication style. My MBC & Me allows users to upload and pin their research, notes, voice memos, and questions directly to calendar appointments, promoting more productive doctor appointments and enhanced patient self-advocacy.
MBC Connect is a free, web and mobile-friendly tool for the estimated 155,000 men and women living with MBC in the U.S. It helps you store important information about your MBC disease history, experiences, as well as your quality of life. MBC Connect also provides researchers and clinicians with a powerful database that can drive research, discoveries, and advances hoped for by so many in the MBC community.
